We love Africa

During the World Cup 2006, the relief project "Wangen helps Togo" (www.wangen-hiflt-togo.de) supported needy children in Togo. In this city, where the national team of Togo stayed during the World Cup 2006, people started to collect money for operating poor children from Togo: Nursery schools and school kids sold  "Togo-buttons", bakeries sold special "Togo bread", ice-cream shops sold "Togo ice-cream". With this money it was possible to operate 2 patients during the World Cup.

What actually worked out in one city should also work out in 32 other cities

For each nationalteam qualified for the World Cup 2010 one city is going to collect money for an operation of a poor african child.

32 National Football Teams +

32 VIPs +

32 committed cities/communities

= 32 operations for needy children in Africa for the World Cup

With the support of an internationally renowned team of doctors and African clinics we want to realise our slogan "We love Africa " by giving medical help free of charge and in an honorary capacity to African children in need during the World Cup 2010. We see this event as a great chance and as our duty to link enthusiasm for sports and readiness to help in a positive way.

For each child a public figure from sports, culture or politics will act as "godfather". We want to win the support of 32 cities or communities to join in our project and help a child in Africa.

These cities are meant to develop campaigns and initiatives with one goal  We love Africa
